Our Bio
The Towels are a Southern California based band specializing in Classic Rock, Blues, Country, and Bluegrass. Comprised of four men and one woman, each member sings lead as well as backup vocals, making the band very diverse and strong in harmonies.
Founded by Noral Squizz in 2010, the band has been going strong ever since. Squizz plays rhythm guitar that doubles as a synthesized organ. Noral Roy, the multi-instrumentalist, plays guitar, Dobro, and mandolin. Tom Bolton plays drums and percussion. Irene Kubert, the female member, plays acoustic guitar, tambourine, and cowbell. Jim Ellert, the newest member, is the bass guitarist.
The Towels have played at many Southern California venues including Texas Loosey's and the Buffalo Fire Department in Torrance, The Tavern in El Segundo, The Irish Times in LA, Prince O Whales in Playa, the Eagles Lodge on the Westside, the Santa Monica Windjammers Yacht Club, J. King Neptune's in Sunset Beach, the El Segundo Richmond Street Fair and a number of outdoor market gigs. The Towels currently perform several outdoor shows each month as well as at the Santa Monica Windjammers Yacht Club in Marina Del Rey the last Friday of each month.
